As a prominent pedagogue at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University and the Film and Television Faculties of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Miroslav Petříček has now influenced several generations of (not only, but probably primarily) Czech and Slovak students of philosophy, film, photography and related fields. The interdisciplinary book Thinking Boundaries/ Boundaries of Thought, published last year on the occasion of his seventieth birthday, focuses on Petříček‘s favorite topic of the border and its crossing, which is developed in various ways in the publication by his students and colleagues.
